The morning of October 2nd, 2020, we were at a diner here in Carrollton having a little meeting breakfast with our sergeants.

This was on a Friday, so that was one of our regular days off.

I occasionally will work off-duty jobs.

I happened to be working at a bank that morning.

I had my very first mammogram ever that morning.

It was during that meeting that we got a radio that there was a shooting at the Green Tree Apartments in Carrollton, Texas.

I was just down the street from Green Tree to get a call from my sergeant.

He asked me to come help.

911, what is the address of the emergency?

It's 1120 MacArthur Drive.

OK, I'm going to get some help headed that way.

Now tell me exactly what happened.

Someone came up and just shot my assistant manager.

I need someone here immediately.
