Dirk had an MVP, but yeah, years before, yeah.

It feels a little Kawhi Leonard Raptors-y to me.

They obviously have very different careers, and Kawhi Leonard not being an MVP, ever winning an MVP probably has more to do with injuries than it does for a guy like Jalen Brunson.

But similar in the sense that it's like, when we look back, we're going to be like, man, they had a really good team.

OG and Inouye on both teams.

They had a really, really well-rounded roster, really, really smart coach, and a superstar who was able to just backpack them in all of the biggest possible moments, who was not the most efficient in the finals, was not the most efficient, in Kawhi's case, in the conference finals either.

But just every big play,

Every big moment, he was just there, and he was willing to take all the big shots, and he made just enough of them to get it done.

And it feels like probably, I mean, who knows?

Maybe the Knicks win another one.

But if this is the only one they win, it's like, they only got one, but what a run for that guy and for that whole team.

It's pretty amazing.

He said, what do you think about Brunson winning a championship before Luka Doncic?

Less about sort of like where they rank amongst each other, but it's really fascinating to think about them being separated off the Mavericks from each other.

Luka stays on the Mavericks for a couple more years, makes the finals, doesn't win.

Brunson goes to New York.

Now Luka's not a Maverick, but Brunson wins a title.

It's just a crazy situation that the Mavericks had both those guys and now they have neither.
