There's a lot of infrastructure needs that they would need, both in Indiana they would need it, but here in Illinois.
And also that we need to make sure that we're building into this affordability for people so that they can maybe afford to go to a game or afford to pay for things at the game.
We want to make sure that we're protecting the consumers and taxpayers of the state.
So those are just some of the principles that I've laid out.
We have made a lot of advancement in that conversation with them.
So, again, I'm surprised, dismayed, very disappointed at what I saw in a statement.
Again, the Bears post that have said, well, we didn't really mean that they're moving to Indiana, which is kind of the implication of it.
But it's apparently not true.
How do you make that happen?
No, very lucky is the answer.
And, you know, they're not in business to, you know, to give you money.
So if you if you can win anything and walk away, you've done well.
Yeah, well, I think, and I will say Minneapolis sort of adopted the playbook that we've been, not that they haven't added to it, but I think we went through this really first.
I mean, developing that playbook.
And what is it?
It starts with
making sure people know what their rights are.
When ICE agents are banging on your door, do you have to open the door?
What is it that they're allowed to do and not allowed to do?
And then the second thing, and this is what I told everybody very early on, pull out your iPhone, pull out your Android phone, video everything.
