And why not?
I mean, the unfortunate thing is there's no surprise.
Because you have to declare.
That's the trick, right?
Why would you do one in the second quarter?
Well, here's why.

Let's say all of a sudden the team that β so the scoring team scores, and on the scoring play, the defense has a penalty.
It's going to be enforced on the kickoff.
Okay.
And then you opt to do an onside kick.
Now, does that move the kick point for the onside kick more forward?
It should.
