Is it more of a, it's a life lesson for him, we're going to keep him because we have no other choice, the wide receiver room isn't that strong, or is it they actually believe this is the wake-up call and you're not going to have to worry about it moving forward?
And this is another one of those thin moments with Rasheed Rice.
And maybe that's just the most frustrating thing is that he is clear-cut the best receiver on this team, and it has to be infuriating to a guy like Patrick Mahomes because he doesn't have a lot to work with when it comes to that wide receiver room because you've seen Rasheed Rice at his best, and when he's available, when he's healthy, he can be that 1,000-yard type receiver that the Chiefs have not really had over the last couple of years.
But let's walk into the future a little bit here and paint this scenario.
If there is a situation where middle of the season, maybe late in the season, he gets in trouble again and he's not available, who does the blame fall at the feet of?
Is that the front office and continuing to have him around?
Is that Andy Reid giving him the confidence and giving him another shot?
If he gets in trouble again, there is nobody to blame but himself.
Well, Matt, it's actually kind of history here that we have you on the phone lines while news is breaking.
The Eagles, although it's pretty expected, I'm sure this has been known for months, at least it seems that way around the NFL, but the Eagles are trading Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J.
Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first round pick and a 2027 fifth round pick.
That is the better one of New England's two-fifths that will be going to Philadelphia.
So how do you think this works out for both teams?
I know we opened up this segment talking about Miles Garrett and Jared Versch, but New England, after losing Stephon Diggs to free agency, they add a guy like A.J.
