And I think like news reporting has changed so much in the time that you've been at it.
And I started out on work experience in news talk, got, I don't know how long ago now, I mean, 22 years ago or something like that.
And I was a researcher for a long time on current affairs programs.
And like that, you know, we, at that time, we were using the phone book to try and find people like, and there was the phone book then went online.
Oh my God, I am 107 years old.
The phone book that went online and that was great because we'd be able to search people from the newspaper in the phone book.
But I've often thought over the years that like, God, if I had done that job now with social media, it would be so much easier.
Well, look, I want to talk, obviously, about your years in RT and the kind of the path that's gotten you to this new gig.
And obviously, we're going to talk about the job itself.
But before we do that, I would love to get to know young Jackie a little bit more.
You're from Galway.
Tell me about growing up there.
It was amazing.
It's such a shame it's not there anymore, although it's not surprising.
I suppose loads of those resources are gone, really, aren't they?
And so when did you start to think that maybe journalism might be something you'd be interested in?
