What gets lost in this whole conversation is that my whole thing is an act.

You know, I'm doing the Sydney Comedy Festival, and you won't believe it, the last time I did the Sydney Comedy Festival was in 1995.

And in those days, I think we did the North Bondi RSL, and the guy was like, we're not turning the pokies off.

And we were like, what, you're not going to turn them off?

And he's like, yeah, we're not turning them off.

And we were like, Jesus, you know, you're trying to do your punchline while one of them's paying out in the old days with coins hitting them.

And he was like, and you have to take your hats off, fellas.

And we were like, oh, this is crazy.

It's sort of an RSL thing.

A Surf Life Club thing.

And then there used to be an old theatre at the Bondi Pavilion upstairs.
