Yeah, it's such a long road to that point.
You know, when I look back on that game as well, I think about conversations I have with younger players now and, you know, it kind of ties into what you were talking about, about the stories of players and expectations around national team.
Like not a lot of people probably realize this, but it was four years between my first cap and my first start for the national team.
I think nowadays there's an expectation that when you come into squads that young players should just come in and play, come in and be involved straight away, that there's not this process within international football to try and learn and understand and be a part of a squad over time to...
to earn the right to be on that pitch.
And, yeah, it was years in the making for me.
And I started the game against Iraq in Iran kind of four days prior.
That was my first start.
And then my second start was in Sydney and, yeah, scoring that goal.
If anyone's ever gone back and looked at the celebration, I think it's just โ it's like โ I think it's the quickest I've moved all game, running to the corner flag to celebrate.
