And I had this delusion that I was ready for the big time before I was ready for the big time.
It's those delusions of grandeur really served me well.
And we eventually got a demo deal with Warner Brothers.
And we went and recorded Last Resort and a handful of other songs.
And then our A&R in that process got fired.
I remember being in the van and just sitting with the boys going, like, what are we going to do, man?
Like, we'll just put it out independently, you know?
And so that was the MO.
So we're like, let's finish mixing these tracks.
