And then I realized like how hard actually being like a full time bartender is and like building a life and like wanting to retire and like moving up to make because I was making in college.

It was like I was making a certain amount of money.

And then I would make like 200 bucks a night.

And I was like in a college town paying cash for beer.

And I was like one of the richest person in America.

Yeah.

You know what I mean?

Yes.

It's the same thing.

And then I moved to New York and saw like realized that people were like moving up in jobs and we get promotions and make more money and like.

totally and like you might need to build and realizing how expensive the world was yeah the cost of living i was like oh fuck you know and so then it it pivoted where i liked the act of like doing it like i enjoyed being behind a bar i enjoy making cocktails i enjoy like socializing i really enjoyed the rest of the bar staff and the restaurant staff like being part of like that

But it very much felt like something that I was taking my energy away from like my dreams.

So then it was like stressful.

Yeah.

So it had like this.

It was like a very fraught relationship.

And like a lot of my New York friends are restaurant people still.

Yeah.

So it was really hard right at the end when I was starting to.

work a lot as a comedian but not necessarily make a lot of money and so i still needed to bartend but i didn't have time where like one of my best friends who was also my manager was like hey like you have to work a shift this week and i'd be like but i can't you like but you kind of have it's your job and i was like and so it was like there was like a tough joy is kind of being sucked out of it because it's taking away from your dream yes but then once i got out of it now i look back on it with like a lot of love and occasionally like my friend will be like
