But anyway, I went to visit the Northwestern University campus in Chicago when I was like 16, and it wasn't the Cards.

Other things were happening.

We were very busy at the time.

What was happening for you at 16?

We were on the Burning Up Tour, which was, I think, in 08.

And life was crazy.

It was like an insane chapter of our journey.

Did you clock, like, oh, this is crazy?

Or were you like, okay, well, this is just my job?

I think we clocked it.

I mean, once things sort of really took off, I would say we were on tour with Avril Lavigne in Europe in the early part of 2008.

And, you know, our record had really started to bubble and things were happening.

that tour in particular we hadn't ever toured Europe so like the Avril fans would like boo us sometimes shut up they didn't really like us which is by the end of the show we'd win him over that was the whole idea but when we first came out they'd be like why these kids on stage anyway so we had a couple like rough shows and we're like does anyone care about something we came back to the US and things were like nuts and it was that at that point in the journey where I was like I think I think this is gonna be a thing
