Are you planning on touring this album?
I've been doing these smaller, intimate shows where I get to talk about the music, where the inspiration came from.
Because it is, you know, important for me to share the context of this album.
I always start with, like, why now?
That's the question I ask myself first before I go and make a project.
And that's because I want to make sure that I'm doing something that feels important to me, important enough to go in and, you know, spend the time in the studio to write the songs and record them and to make the album, like,
every second of the process starts with the intention.
It's kind of my idea.
And with this one, it was like, well, it took about two and a half years to make, but it's really 33 years in the making.
It's like my whole life and different sort of snapshots and points of view and perspective that I...
I had, but hadn't been able to put pen to paper on and actually articulate in the way that I did with this one.
I think that came from collaboration.
I worked with some amazing co-writers who really helped me bring the vision to life with it.
Those shows have been great, and I've been able to give that context.
I'd love to do some more later this year where I can do a bigger, more exciting show where I can play stuff from this album and stuff from previous records of mine and some songs I wrote with the Jonas Brothers stuff.
It's been, I think, 10 years or so since I toured solo.
