When you started openly talking about diabetes, did people come up to you in the street and say, like, thank you?
Well, I was diagnosed when I was 13.
And we had just really started touring and stuff, and I knew pretty quickly that I wanted to speak openly about it because when I was in the hospital, newly diagnosed, there really wasn't somebody that the nurses or doctors could be like, hey, this person's living with this disease and they're doing just fine.
And so I was kind of like if...
Whatever platform I have at whatever stage, I'm just going to speak about this because there might be somebody, another 13-year-old kid in the hospital who needs a little encouragement that they're going to be okay.
So, yeah, I've spoken about it forever, basically, and I've met some amazing people by being open about it.
Yeah, I feel like I know quite a few people with diabetes.
Sorry, that was so awkward.
I mean, a lot of people have it.
