We saw him at Christmastime with a shoebox campaign in Manchester.
I talked about the kind of challenges of the homeless situation that we have in our city.
You know, he talked about three buses going to training and going past homeless people on his way as a youngster at Manchester United.
Now, he's also...
raised more than 20 million pounds for free school meals for children who can't afford meals at school.
And what he's trying to do at the moment is make sure that system continues over the summer when a lot of people in Manchester are struggling to pay bills, they're struggling to feed their children.
And I think, you know, what makes him different, what sets him apart at the moment is that he went through a situation where he was one of five children in Wythenshawe, which is a really challenging area in Manchester, in South Manchester.
And, you know, he took advantage of free school meals.
He's not ashamed to say that.
And I think, you know,
He's suddenly a player that is a potential captain in the making at Manchester United.
He's an England superstar.
And I think, you know, the power of what he said today in trying to get MPs to kind of go back on it, get the government to kind of row back on what they're doing is immense.
And I think if you're looking at players that have grown in stature, perhaps this season on the pitch, he's been amazing.
His best time on the pitch in terms of goals and games.
Yes, he's had the back injury, but he's come back flying and he's ready to go again.
But off the pitch, I think at 22 years old, you know, you can really say with confidence,
true sort of genuine esteem that he's a proper football statesman.
I think he's somebody, I think, who's growing and growing, as I say, as a player, but also as a human being.
Yeah, he's a real role model now, isn't he?
