That's what I'm thinking about.
I'm either editing or I'm thinking about, okay, how can this scene be better?
And I don't know why that surprises people.
I think, although I guess even for me, looking at how I thought of writing before I became a writer, I was very like, yeah, it
you know, just that afternoon and burst of inspiration, a couple of hours, I'll get a couple of thousand words done and then that'll be it for the day.
Yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly.
So, yeah, that's really the only thing.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, very much.
Yes, yeah, yeah, pretty much.
Pretty much then weekends with the kids and, yeah.
Well, that's part of being regimented, I think, is that there's many mornings where I wake up and I'm like, I don't feel like it today.
And it's pretty tempting because you don't have anybody looking over your shoulder and nobody would know.
But you do too many of those days and all of a sudden you're months behind.
And I try and take...
You know, I'm not a fast writer.
I think I'm quite a consistent writer.
But I do try and take, you know, when the publisher says, we'd like this to be done by X date, I kind of go, okay, I'm actually going to try and hit that date.
I'm not going to treat it casually.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean I'm 150-ish thousand words into the first draft of book three.
