I mean, we'll see.
The thing is that where the Leafs are at, it's an incredibly difficult situation.
There aren't that many, at least Vancouver, they've kind of decided on a path that makes sense.
They're rebuilding.
They're going to have a really high pick this year, and that's the process that they're going through.
Toronto, there's not a path that really makes a lot of sense here for them, to be honest.
It's going to be hard for them to rebuild because they've traded two first-round picks.
It's going to be very tricky for them to retool just because they don't have a good enough roster, in my opinion, to get back to where they're contending.
At best, they're probably going to get stuck in the mushy middle.
And what they really need is two top four defensemen and, frankly, a number one defenseman.
And I just don't see that's not available in free agency.
I think it's going to be incredibly difficult to trade for.
The Leafs have one of the worst prospect pools in the league.
They have very little pick capital.
They have one of the oldest teams in the league.
All of those things suggest to me that the window has closed on them.
But ownership is saying that they don't want the window to close and they want to try and turn it around quickly, which has the recipe for disaster written all over it right now.
I think that they're in a wait-and-see mode.
