There have been a couple times in meetings where people have, the closest thing I could say, whereas a person of wealth would ask me to do something. And I would say, I can't, I can't, this is not an exchange of goods and services. I can't do something in exchange for you paying me to do it. That's not how I work as a journalist. I have to operate impartially without fear.

And when the person realized where I was coming from, they kind of backed off. They're like, oh, no, that's okay. I almost feel like they're concerned that I'm going to record them trying to bribe me, which I would. Of course, that's who you are. I don't even know anymore. I'd say the truth... I did a story on Pam Bondi. That's exactly what I'm doing with this. I took a hit. I think I tell stories by way of example because I think it's better than abstractions. I did a story on the Attorney General of the United States. That was hard for me because I don't dislike her or like her. It's not about whether I like someone or dislike them.

I tend to have been branded as a conservative only because I felt the legacy media in the last decade and two decades has been not telling the truth. And if you do tell the truth, then you're branded as a right winger. But I don't even know what these terms mean anymore.
