He thinks that obviously gives him a lot of tells within the defense.
The defense has to show him as early as possible, earlier than other senses about what they're going to do, and Joe loves to play that way.
joe's also taking a beating right like crazy and that's been the biggest issue for for cincinnati is keeping joe burrow on the field so i do think you have to find a way to to change the way you play a little bit in terms of how you call it when the quarterback starts changing but also like does your quarterback start playing quicker and quicker like brady barely moved when he was in tampa right like it's it's i can i if i have the answer beforehand
I can get rid of the football quicker.
Now, the same thing would be maybe some of these longer developing routes are probably not called.
Some of this stuff that's a little bit quicker with me getting rid of the football might be where Andy would maybe adjust it because that's the way Tom did it.
It wasn't like there was these long developing concepts down the field when he was in Tampa and he wasn't really moving much.
And I'm saying that's Patrick way down the road in his 40s.
But I do think there could be a sense of how you change the play calling just a little bit.
But at the same time, I think he does have the ability to get rid of the football quick enough that you could make a couple of adjustments but still put that many guys out in patterns for sure.
I think that's a million-dollar question you can't see right now.
There are some people around the league, and actually my co-host on 89, and Steve Smith, that has major concerns about the group that's around Patrick.
And I think there's two parts to it.
I think the coaching part is big, and I think Chad's outstanding in all honesty.
There's the other part of Patrick is a very specific player to play with.
He's a feel quarterback.
I mean, there's a reason why this sixth sense thing with Travis has been one of the greatest connections we've maybe seen in this league's history.
And most quarterbacks are big trust guys.
