People that have that sort of money normally have quite big egos and they would like to be able to show it off.
So getting into the playoffs and pushing for a title
early seems to be the success model, isn't it?
Whether that was, I suppose, reasonable to expect for Moana Pacifica, I'm not sure, but I think they certainly showed last year if you get
enough around a core group like an arisavia can really lift people you know all boats rise to the tide so to speak that they had enough there to nearly um do that with a couple more pieces it could have happened but now that they are looking for that private investor um you know it makes it a little bit harder when you're sitting at the bottom of the ladder
That is an opportunity, though.
Do you know what I mean?
Like, if you've got the ability to...
be in full control and you do have deep pockets.
Like what previously with Moana Pacific, I don't think the Fiji and Darora as well, is whenever any player goes well, they'll be signed in France or Japan.
You know, like it's like they do well.
Yeah.
Yeah, all picked up.
To be fair, that was an individual player choice wanting to change.
But I think, I'm meaning more from a financial, that these players will be offered big contracts.
So you think if you've got a private owner that has deep pockets and can match that...
You could build a pretty strong team that would compete.
It's a hard one, though, because it's life-changing dough.
Like, I suppose if we use the drua as more of an example, they've had some pretty expected young talent snaffled.
Yeah.
