It also comes back to, I suppose, the setup we have here in New Zealand with MPC.
But even if you were to say, okay, we're going to make Super Rugby throughout the year, you're still going to have to have these big chunk, these big pauses.
Mm-hmm.
and i think we've done that before and showed that it really does disengage the fan yeah and trying to get them back after the international window you know like i i like the i like the concept i i think is from a player's point of view home in a way
You play everyone, you know, like there's always that underlying thing, like if you play the team that's last twice and then some teams only play them once.
Do you know what I mean?
Like it's just that integrity of competition sometimes gets questioned.
So you'd love to get outside of that, but it's just not a reality.
Yeah.
Well, for what's agreed.
So obviously that's just been done.
So yeah, you've got to commit to a certain amount of games.
But also I don't think you'd want it that short.
Yeah.
It's pretty short, sharp.
But again, I still don't know if you'd get enough games.
Do you know what I mean?
Because there is, say, five, six games a weekend, even if you've got four teams doing...
a home and away you're still not going to get that number of games so it's just a lot more complex um certainly something i didn't appreciate when i was a player you know like how how draws are built out and um how the money actually comes in to pay for everything and what the broadcaster actually needs and and so forth so um all those conversations have i have no doubt been had but at the end of the day the window is the window i think it's a max of 18 weeks 19 weeks
you know, especially this year for the All Blacks, you know, like there's not much time together.
