His kick chase, his work from one wing to the other, those are all the things I love to see.
I was speaking with Aaron Cruden after the game, and we were saying, it doesn't matter what is happening in terms of the game.
In rugby, you're going to have days where the ball comes your way and he scores those four tries.
Yeah.
But he never searches that out.
You know, he doesn't look at the other wing scoring six tries and go, oh, I've got to get over there.
He's constantly thinking, where can I put myself or how can I make an impact that gets the team going forward?
And, you know, like you look at that chief side of 2012, 2013, you know, Tikurituma, Lowe, it was all about, you know, high speed chase line success.
getting contestials, hardball gets, Tim Nana-Williams is another one, Gareth Anscombe is another one.
That is the DNA of a Dave Rennie coach side because they create something out of nothing and that unstructured play is what excites them.
Now,
he has very much that Richard Kahui, Ben Smith, Corey Jane feel about him, you know, in terms of sitting on that right wing, you know, even a little bit of Israel Dagg, you know, he's got that ability in the air.
He's got the ability, I think, defensively, because he spent so much time at 15, with that high line speed, you can get found out a lot, but because of his, I suppose, his peripheral vision or his understanding of attacking body language, he makes the right call.
And even when he's short,
you watch him he'll fly up so he still shows that fly up but he knows he's going to get beaten on the outside flies up and then drops back you know he knows he's in full control he's just trying to paint a picture but he knows where he's got to get to and it's those little things that you know and he's come back to being all black went overseas didn't like it and thought man I want to get back in we are just spoilt for choice at the moment like seriously it is going to be such a hard squad to narrow down
Because obviously Morby's performance was really strong.
So I went back and sort of watched that Highlanders game.
And I always just think about what Goldie says around their preferred step.
And where they position.
Because it's a little bit like a loose head and a tight head.
