So it's someone from Clare, Dublin.
Okay, interesting.
Oh, so close.
Right, okay.
Okay, so here's my take on it, right?
I watched the game last night.
I didn't really look at any of the discourse afterwards because I put off to other stuff and went to bed and got up this morning.
The thing that surprised me was the joy is you will generally on social media see the kind of interactions that were happening overnight talking about it.
And the thing that surprised me was this became, because I would hope that most people when they saw what happened, David Reedy takes a knock to the head, is obviously down for a considerable period of time and has to be stretchered off.
There's a load of elements to it, you know, fair play to Hedge O, who reacted really, really quickly, obviously knew his first aid and went straight across to make sure that he was okay.
Fair play to all the medical staff who were on hand at Stemple Stadium to make sure he got the best possible care.
And it was great news this afternoon to hear that David had been discharged from the hospital and he's recovering at home.
and we all hope that he's going to be okay.
So I think for most people, your first concern is, I hope that Reedy's all right, and I hope this isn't a really bad concussion.
Skell has spoken many times in this pod this year about how bad concussions can be, the horrific effects afterwards and so on.
And clearly he took a really, really bad knock to the head in the game yesterday.
James Owens gives the red card I can see people arguing maybe there were other tackles earlier in the game and maybe they weren't clamped down enough and maybe that's an element in all this and I take Brian Lowen's point and I would agree with him entirely that Hurling needs to look at these head high tackles and in fairness to the two lads on this podcast I think you boys have been calling it out for two or three years at this stage I think at no point have we turned around and at any point said ah
If we ever say let the game flow, I don't think any of us have ever said, yeah, but sure, let's slap the head just go.
That has never, ever happened.
We've always said this needs to be something that's very, very carefully pleased.
