The thing that surprised me overnight were the amount of rival supporters who went at each other and went, well, what about your player when he did it in 2024 in that game?
Or what about earlier this year when someone did a tackle that wasn't classified as a high tackle and that should have been a red card then and it became a kind of a tribal back and forth thing.
I think that's the wrong type of discussion to have around this.
The most important thing is to make sure that...
that you know that david reedy's okay and also on the pitch the red card was produced so the red card for the offense was produced i don't personally believe there was any malice in this i think as well reedy turned a little bit just before this but i think the arm coming forward to make the tackle was in a reckless position it was 100 a red card
So that's just my take on it from the start.
But I didn't like some of the discourse online where it was rival supporters going to each other.
And I don't mean Dublin and Clare supporters, by the way.
It was much more counties closer to Clare that were having a go at Clare supporters and Clare supporters having a snipe back.
And I know people are pissed off and emotional, particularly when one of your best players gets knocked out on the pitch and it's horrible and all that.
But I just thought that was a bizarre way that some people kind of...
Yeah, look, I can understand what happens as well.
And there's some Clare supporters, even in the comments, who are saying they've had two or three against them this year.
That happens to an extent.
I don't think it's a fact.
I don't think the team's going in to try and do Clare deliberately or anything like that.
But what happened at the weekend was unfortunate, but not deliberate, is what I would think.
He goes in to leave a marker, but I don't think he went in to make it a head-high tackle.
Just because I am very mindful that we have a case now of, come on, what have you got them doing?
Sorry.
