What can we do to turn that to our advantage?

Is there any way at all we can turn Nikita Tolopilo into any sort of asset or at least use the fact that we have three goalies to manage Thatcher Demko's health to an extent where he regains some of his value going in to next offseason?

I don't know.

I think both of those are very, very difficult jobs, but I guess you have to find a way to turn unobjectively

really tough situation with your goalies.

You have to find the silver lining in it somehow.

You got to do something with it, right?

Whether it's development for Tolopilo or whatever it is.

And that's a good point.

And not even just related to Elias Pettersson, but just in general, right?

Because if you are so hell bent on, well, the young players have to check all these boxes before we give them real minutes and real opportunity.

you can't also turn around and say, well, we're just going to keep these veterans in these roles no matter what they do.

Like, I think that can be corrosive to building the kind of culture that the Canucks want to build as well.

If certain players, because they have more years in the league, get passes on habits and how they're playing the game,

and younger players are held to a much higher standard.

That's a danger, too, which, again, I get what the original texter, what Q was saying about, you know, making the young players earn it, but there's danger in skewing too far to, well, the veterans are here, and the young players have to be absolutely perfect to unseat them.
