Those are the class of teams that I would be looking at more than anything, though.

the contending teams that already have their first line center locked up, have no issues there and need that super overqualified second line center to really push them over the top.

Those would be potential Dylan Larkin destinations that I would keep an eye on.

Now, the other question from Detroit is,

perspective is just what do you do how does this affect your team building strategy going forward especially considering you've missed the playoffs so many years in a row can you justify taking even a temporary step back you look at it in a vacuum and you think okay Lucas Raymond is 24 he's signed long term Mo Sider is 25 he's signed long term to a really good deal Simon Edmondson you're high on him he's 23

Okay, take a step back and build around that core that I just laid out.

And if Detroit had just made the playoffs, you know, four years in a row, that might be possible.

But when you're coming off a drought or you're in the midst of a drought, as long as it's been for Detroit, I don't know if you can sell that to your fans.

Because there's a ton of veterans that they're going to have the chance to move on from.
