But if you're Stevie, why do you think you're going to survive a retool attempt at this point in the playoff drought in Detroit?

Is that going to force them to try to make a win now, salvage a deal, salvage a Dylan Larkin deal with a win now type of trade, which I think is going to be very, very difficult to do.

Keith and Kit says Larkin goes to Dallas for Jason Robertson straight up.

So that's the interesting one because Jason Robertson is a great player.

Awesome player.

But you do that and now you don't have a first line center.

You are incredibly weak down the middle.

Do you really think you're taking that next step as Detroit?

And I think back to when the Canucks were shopping JT Miller, right?

And it was like, well, they got they really need to get a center back.

And here's the thing.

You can the Detroit can want a center back for Dylan Larkin, but it's not going to be a good center.

It's not going to be as good as Dylan Larkin.

And if you are already looking at Dylan Larkin and thinking we need to upgrade our first line center spot, if we're going to really do some damage.

Okay, great.

You got, you know, second line center X who's going to give you 50 points back in the Dylan Larkin trade.

That doesn't move the needle for you.

That doesn't change things.
