could integrate Cherki into the City system a lot better.
So I don't think it's been perfect handling of the situation from Guardiola.
It's probably only Arsenal's recent drop-off in form that's bringing him back into contention.
And you can see that on the field.
I mean, he was benched against Real Madrid, right?
He started, I think, what, half of the games in the Premier League?
And for me, he's City's best attacking player.
So it does seem odd, maybe, that he's not played...
played as much.
And on the field as well, when Cherokee gets it, I get the feeling that he wants to play more.
He wants players to come close to him and make combinations.
And like I said before, he wants to drop into situations and get involved.
Interestingly, yesterday, I thought when he did drop in in the first half on a couple of occasions to help with the build-up, to help Rodri and Bernardo Silva progress the ball, I thought it was really good.
I thought there was good solutions there.
And Cherokee has this ability to come up with solutions that I think that Guardiola can't.
And
this is coming back to that tension.
I think it's really instructive to see how, you know, even one of the greatest, perhaps the greatest coach or tactician of all time can be learning things from a player like Cherki.
The build-up thing is interesting, right?
Because it does seem on quite a few occasions that there are coaches and teams who are more willing to play, what, close to pressure, you call it risky play or whatever, like in their own box than in the opponent's box, right?
