It makes it harder for Australians to get ahead.
And now we're going to see increases to that tax.
Not only are we going to see increases, but we're going to see their grandfather too.
So, you know, the people will be able to have benefited from these tax
Discounts whatever they may have been tax simplifications in previous generations that are now going to be denied younger generations I mean if you're saving to buy a house right now and you put that money into shares to save for your house Well, your tax is going to increase so you're going to have less money to buy your house that makes it so much harder for young people finally
Actually, that really concerns me.
We've had an inflation problem in this country now for four years.
Labor have been unable to tame inflation and that's meant that real wages have gone backwards, living standards have gone backwards and that means that Australians are poorer.
In this budget, it actually forecasts that real wages will go backwards again.
And because spending is now higher than it has been in 40 years outside of the pandemic, it makes the Reserve Bank's job so much harder.
That means we're likely to see inflation stay high and interest rates go up again.
So my concern
is that in two years' time, Australians will be even poorer than they are today.
They've already gone backwards so far and so fast, deeper and faster than any advanced economy.
And I think we're going to get worse.
Great to be with you.
