It is better for the sport.
Could it be tweaked to make it better in a different way?
I don't know.
Smarter minds might come up with a solution there.
The one I mentioned is one I saw where that was
that was a little bit intriguing in a sense of now you're actually playing for something once you're out.
Normally, you always say best player available.
I'd say in this case, in Vancouver's case, you have three young defensemen right now.
I don't think any of them are truly number one defensemen in the making either.
So if there's one of these defensemen that can come in and be a legitimate number one defenseman, like we know, like we just lost Quinn, Kale McCarra, Heskinen, any of these guys floating around,
then I could advertise for taking the D. If they're not, if they're top pairing D men, then I would go to a forward instead because the forwards are so bare.
And obviously we know the center position is one of those areas.
But if there's a winger that are so much better than the next player who happens to be a center, you have to take the winger and then just move down the line.
It's one of those things where you take the asset and then hopefully if it doesn't work out in the sense of you finding centers elsewhere, you can always trade a better player, so to speak.
But again, you do need a little bit of positional awareness as well outside of the fact that if there's a legitimate true number one, which we just lost, which we're seeing what they do in other teams, then you have to go out and grab that guy.
Yeah, that's one of those things.
You said you weren't asking about specific names.
I've seen him play maybe a game and a half.
I saw that U.S.
when they played with that CHL team.
