I got to read this now.
So Romans 6, where it said, we died to sin.
How can we live in any longer?
6.2.
Don't you know that all of us who are baptized into Christ are baptized into death.
We were raised through the glory of the Father so that we may live a new life.
So then he gets to verse 8 and he says, now, if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
Now, he's already said in verse five that if we died like this, we'll be united with him in his resurrection.
So I believe in verse eight, he's talking about now, what's left of your life, being born, and now you have the opportunity of love.
And to Zach's point, verse 9, because we know that Christ, since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again.
Death no longer has mastery over him.
The death he died, he died to sin once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God.
In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
So when you compare that to where he would later say in Romans chapter 12 to offer your bodies to
as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.
This is the way you worship.
Don't conform any longer to the pattern of the world.
Well, this sounds familiar with 1 Corinthians 6, and this kind of goes back to when Jesus said he would die and be raised three days, and he linked that to the temple.
Destroy this temple forever.
And I'll come back in three days.
