Having San Jose at two is a great problem for you guys because or for the Canucks organization, because I don't see them necessarily taking one of your top two guys at this stage.
Well, they've got to be bad for four or five years.
That's the best way you're going to have to do it.
I mean, the San Jose Sharks went through a lot of pain.
And for that matter, so have the Anaheim Ducks guys.
There's pain and then there's market-driven pain.
And let me explain the difference, okay?
There's markets in the National Hockey League, Anaheim and San Jose being one of them, where...
The scrutiny and the media coverage isn't as robust as it is there in Vancouver or Toronto or Montreal.
So the patience amongst the fan base and even maybe the media who aren't as seasoned as you are,
I'm not saying this respectfully, but you guys, we live hockey.
So it's just different in certain markets, and they're allowed a little bit more flexibility to do what the San Jose Sharks did.
And their owner is also quite aware that in Anaheim, you're going to be playing in front of 11,000 people, not 18,000 people, and he understands that process.
For us up here and for the Vancouver Canucks, I don't know that everybody is understanding that that's the kind of pain it takes to get that kind of prosperity within your group.
Like your answer would take a long time to earn all of that type of embarrassment or riches, if you will, that the San Jose Sharks have right now.
