I'll take you through these events or whatever that happened because, you know, so I went in, I met, at the time he was inspector, detective inspector Anthony Pettit.
I met him.
He told me that he was going to be the SIO, which is the senior investigating officer, and he'll be running this investigation.
I, you know, I spoke to him briefly, well, for, you know, for about a half an hour, told him my story.
And he said to me, look, he said, there are two female officers here in Watergate who are trained and specialised in, you know, dealing with somebody with sexual abuse.
He said, are you comfortable with two?
I said, look, that's fine.
So I met them a couple of days later and I made, so I started my statement.
I made the first, probably got a year and a half of it, you know, from, you know, and that was about three hours, you know, so they said, look,
We'll stop here and come back in two days time and we will continue and make the rest of your statement.
So I said, fine.
In between that, they got a court order and they raided Bill Kennedy's house under my name and so forth.
Now, I didn't know any of this.
I wasn't told this at the time, but Bill Keneally made admissions to them in the house that, yes, he's abused up to 20 boys.
And they acted very quickly, the GardaΓ, because Detective Inspector Pett had said it to me at the time.
He said, look, he said, we have to get him lifted out of that club as soon as we possibly can.
And that's why it just happened so far.
I was actually shocked because I didn't even get to finish my statement and they were already in his house, raiding his house and the whole lot.
I came back and made the rest of my statement.
The guards, the ladies now have to say they were very good, very, very good.
