People can find me on Bloomberg.com, on the TripleClick podcast, where on Thursday we'll be doing our own predictions for each category. So Kirk, Maddie, and I, my co-hosts, we do prediction bets every year, where at the beginning of every year we make predictions for what's going to happen in the year.

Whoever gets the most right gets to pick a game that all three of us have to play throughout that year. And we're doing, as we did last year, we're doing Game Awards predictions as a tiebreaker for that prediction. So whoever gets the most right wins the tiebreaker, if there is a tie. And so here's some funny political math here.

Um, so one of Kirk's predictions for the year, like in the bigger predictions, but was an indie game will win a game of the year. And so I was like, well, I kind of think Belatra is going to win, but I don't want that to be my prediction for the tiebreaker because if, if that happens and Kirk will probably win anyway. So the tiebreaker I'll be moot.

And so I should pick something else for the tiebreaker. So I picked metaphor for the tiebreaker predictions, but even though my actual prediction is Belatra, am I confusing you yet?

You got to do. My point is when you're doing ridiculous bets with your podcast co-hosts, you got to do skiing. You got to think think 40 chess. You got to you got to be thinking 10 moves ahead of your your competition.

No. Microsoft has gone through multiple rounds of layoffs, and a lot of that was focused on Activision Blizzard. Granted, to be fair, I think at least some of those cuts were planned before Microsoft took over, so Microsoft inherited this process. But still, I mean, when I was writing this book, I filed my first draft around January, so right before the first big layoff.
