Is it like, here's what we know, here's what we don't know, here's...
Well, I think too, it doesn't help.
I saw a statistic recently where trust in physicians and hospitals in the US was, I think it's 71% in 2020, but it dropped to 40% in 2024.
It is sad.
And I am optimistic that on the diagnosis side, just from a pure data standpoint, like getting the right diagnosis, AI will be tremendously helpful in the future.
But still, bedside manner, you can't just offload to a machine.
That's something we could probably do a better job at.
In terms of what I also really like about the book is you just don't ignore, the core theme is resilience and our emotional, spiritual, and mental wellbeing in the role, but you also don't ignore physical wellbeing.
So let's talk about that.
What have you seen in terms of one, just from a pure physical standpoint, what should people be working on and then how that plays a role in building those resilience muscles?
Well, the beauty of doing, say, a VO2 max workout is not only increasing your VO2 max for maximum physical fitness, but it's also this idea that, yeah, I can do really hard things and I can push myself to exhaustion.
So it's that double benefit.
And I think mentally, the way I view physical fitness and sports and all of that, it's this idea of I can push myself.
I can go further.
And so when resilience is needed, you can look back at, hey, remember this time?
I didn't think I could do any more on the treadmill or do any more playing whatever sport.
And I did it.
I can do this.
And so what do you think kills more people?
Loss of hope or purpose or having really high cholesterol?
