I want to start with Darren Rippey.
If you watched the McDonald's All-American game, as I did, then you certainly came away with the impression that Darren Rippey is a special talent.
Elite, Donald, elite quickness and athleticism combined with really great court vision.
Dude is just, he was made to be a point guard and an explosive, explosive.
It's been a long time
Duke has had great point guards.
The Jones brother.
You can go on and on.
There have been some great point guards at Duke.
I'm trying to think the last time we had one who was this athletically explosive.
Maybe Kyrie or J. Will.
Although not entirely.
I want to be clear.
Kyrie and J. Will were better shooters.
By the way, Deron Rippey goes by Ron Ron.
They're better shooters than Rippey is, but Rippey is just a really great athletic talent.
Numerous people who are scouts who do this kind of thing for a living basically said he was one of the five most impressive players at the practices and at the McDonald's All-American game.
He had one spin move kind of thing.
I wouldn't even describe it as a spin move.
