But for the most part against double teams, he kind of struggled the process.
He would dribble into traffic and turn it over.
He'd dribble out and pass it out in a way that didn't actually capitalize on the advantage.
Every time he got single coverage, he was able to score.
And it kind of looked like he had solved the Jackson Hayes matchup as a person to roots for the Lakers.
I remember during that stretch kind of wishing that JJ would go back to Deandre because of how poorly Jackson was going.
And we did end up seeing Deandre get reps in the fourth quarter.
but Shane Goon had five of the Rockets last six made baskets down the stretch and regulation.
This really did feel like a big playoff moment for him there for a minute.
Like the end of like seemingly closing the game with two big transition buckets.
There was a play where he gets switched on to LeBron and LeBron tries to drive past him and whether or not it was a foul, who knows, but LeBron gets like kind of tripped up or loses his balance.
And so credit to Shane Goon for sliding his feet and disrupting LeBron on the drive.
And LeBron ends up turning it over.
LeBron has this bizarre play where he like, like doesn't run back on defense.
It was like legitimately just a really strange play.
Cause he had been playing so hard and it like was just a play.
It looked like he kind of gave up on that possession, which was such a critical possession.
Cause at that point it was just a two point game, but Shangoon ends up getting a lefty layup.
And then on the very next possession, he steals a high post entry pass and goes down and dunks the ball with LeBron going for a chase down.
And he's screaming at the crowd and the Rockets are up by six.
