might just want to hang on to him because that's your only big who plays dwight powell is old and that's all they have yeah that's really all they have i like all the teams you listed i also wrote down the raptors i'd love to see them there i don't think it's likely i think these other teams if they really wanted them could make a more enticing package but oh if he found his way to the raps and some sort of three team deal or something like that they got involved be a great center for them
Najee Marshall and Klay Thompson.
Also, I would have to imagine potential trade targets for other teams as well.
But at number five, it's Anthony Simons.
He's 26 years old, making $27.7 million on an expiring for the Celtics this year.
He's had some good moments.
He's just kind of fit in there.
But the question for me more so is like, what's the plan for Simons?
Because when they traded for him in the offseason...
it was kind of the Celtics could go one of two ways.
They could keep him around, sign him to a longer-term deal, maybe in the summer at a lower number but for more years, or if they wanted to duck the aprons, he was kind of candidate number one to be shipped out.
Him or Sam Hauser could be cap casualties.
So I just wonder if the Celtics are going to be buyers or sellers and how Simons kind of factors into that.
Right.
Doesn't seem like he's going to be there for a long time.
But when it comes to the trade deadline, it's $27 million that he makes.
So to match it up with something that they would want, it's not going to be easy, I don't think.
Because I don't know if another team says, Simon's going to be our guy coming off the bench forever, or we believe that he could be a lead guard.
I'm just not sure if there's a match out there.
This could be a situation where the Celtics say, we're hanging on to him because we're going to let him go at the end of the season, essentially.
