And for me, what's so impressive about that is, is how quickly he got results after the change.
That's the hardest part.
It's like one day in Milwaukee, three days later, he's hitting homers to the moon.
that's you know moving around the batter's box a half an inch is kind of a big deal moving around six or seven inches and then kind of flirting with you know scooting closer to the plate added back for away from the pitcher those are big moves and then kind of how he lands too like there's a lot of thought went into just sort of how he can combat one side of the plate and
try and get balls in the air and get a little lean back, get the barrel above the head.
I talk about that with Vladdy all the time.
And I have had conversations, you know, kind of around Vladdy too with, you know, what Okamoto's going through about how quickly, if you notice, the quicker the pitcher is on the mound that releases the baseball, the later Vladdy is.
Like you get a guy that's like real quick to the plate, say a one three or less.
You see a few more ground balls, a little bit more playing catch up.
It's that kind of thing, right?
It's that adjustment where I got to compare.
It's not always the velocity out of the hand.
It's how quickly he releases the baseball is what I got to try and combat.
If I can get as athletic as I possibly can just to allow everything to go in a positive direction towards the baseball, I'll be fine because I'm super uber talented.
But if I'm playing catch up all the time with my lower half, what does my upper half do?
It plays catch up along with that.
And then your barrel drags and it plays catch up.
And what does your barrel not do?
Which is what they want to do all the time.
