Whether you agree with him or not, you do have to respect the fact that he goes into the war zone.
He really does, where things get really ugly and everything comes with an insult.
Dave goes there to explain what's happening with the officiating.
So if you're wondering, and it ended up being moot because Carolina won the game last night.
If you're wondering about the non-call for the too many men on the ice,
So here's what Dave leaves behind.
So here's the play if you're watching us on our daily face off YouTube.
So the puck comes out of the zone.
Sebastian Ajo is behind Lane Hudson.
And if Hudson doesn't touch that puck, Sebastian Ajo has got a breakaway, but he touches it.
And quickly count two, four, six red sweaters.
Everybody on the Carolina Hurricanes bench, starting with Shane Gostisbaer.
loses their minds over it and rightfully so understandably so this is what we're used to so here's what Dave Jackson says this is interesting if you're talking today about the too many men non-call I believe it to be defendable the rule states that a player must intentionally play the puck and if it hits him accidentally then there is no penalty as long as both players are within the legal distance of the bench
Are both players within legal distance of the bench?
The answer is yes.
I think Hudson played it, quote, accidentally on purpose.
I believe that.
But, especially knowing that Sebastian Ajo is behind him, but there is enough gray area to apply that rule.
Also, the linesmen are instructed to kill the play and reset when it accidentally hits the player, but an advantage is gained, if you're ever wondering about that one.
Now, the other part is interesting.
