Well, the defensive side need to be there.
If they're there, that means the line-out needs to be formed.
I think the try would have been because the try is awarded and they wait until, I mean, he's kicking it and then halfway through his lead up for the conversion, it's then, oh, hold on, let's go back and have a look at that.
Now, the TMO doesn't say whether or not they've gone to have a look at whether or not the line out had been formed.
They really are just looking at whether or not the feet are in touch.
Yeah.
So I think that we've seen that earlier in the season where lineouts had not been formed and they still are scoring tries off the back of that.
I think if his foot hadn't been in touch, it probably would have still been a try.
Yeah, so, I mean, he definitely knocks it on, and then you could argue that he's playing the ball on the ground because he regathers it and plays it.
Normally you're allowed to do that as long as it's going forward.
He can place the ball.
So then they recycle it, and it goes wide, and at that point a penalty advantage is called.
So it's just open play at that point, general play.
So then the try is scored.
So the penalty advantage only comes later.
So they really should have come back to that.
But the problem is that there are three phases.
The TMO can only go back two phases, which I think makes an arse of the situation, right?
Because, yes, we don't want the TMO going back in an inordinate amount of time.
Equally, though, we want to look at the immediate lead-up.
