you know, if there's a, if there's a record on the line or if it's the, the super record or if he was going to, to break that record the other night, um, then Josh Morby turns up and gets, or as I saw, it was even Kenny, Josh, Josh Forby or Kenny.

And that's the cool thing about the game.

Like you'll go in with these different storylines or things that you expect to happen.

And then, you know, in the 80 minutes, something completely different will, will change the script, flip the script.

So that's the cool thing about footy that I love.

And, and, and, and the, uh,

And the commentary, but to answer your question, yeah, you do have things prepared and you may or may not use them, but it's good to have them written down.

It was pretty crazy and a real honour to be asked, actually.

But it was a funny way it worked out.

I was at Sky TV calling a Renfrewshire Shield game.

It was south in Canterbury.

And I was about halfway through that with Ben Castle and in our off-tube booth, well, on that occasion, at least we've got a really nice one now that's been set up.

Not as nice as the studio, obviously, but a nice off-tube booth.

I was sitting pretty close to Ben and you were calling this game and Southam were getting pumped and a text came through and sort of Ben slid this phone in front of my face.

And I'm sort of calling the game and he's kind of like motioning down and I'm, I don't know what was happening at the time.

I think Canada was scoring another try, but, um, I looked down and it was a text from the boss and it was call me.

So he ended up popping out, I think at halftime or yeah, just a break and play and, and, and gave him a call and, and he said, um, you need to get to Eden Park.

I was at Sky TV.

So Mount Wellington.

So yeah, you know, 10 odd car away.
