So yeah, I just, I got on the car and headed straight to Eden Park and

I wasn't too sure what was happening, whether I was going to be on standby.

As far as I was concerned, I was just there just in case.

Not at that point, but I think as things sort of panned out, that was more likely going to be the case.

What time did they leave?

yeah it's good oh i think i hit the road around six o'clock oh yeah it's seven o'clock kickoff yeah more or less i was i think i was out the gate at sky just before six or around six so i had the road and and was uh was was motoring along to get to get there had to navigate my way through uh through the sea of cones once i got to kingsland but we got through the front door and

And as I say, mate, I didn't expect, you know, I thought I was just going to be there on standby in a safety capacity.

But as it turned out, I needed to be in the hot seat.

So I jumped in and TJ was awesome.

He had all his notes panned out and had a chat to him.

And I just sort of had to adapt pretty quickly and adapt.

And just treat it really, I can, it wasn't just another game, but you know, you know what you do when you get sort of thrown in the deep end, you kind of just have to run with it.

So, um, for me, I just sort of treated it as, um, you know, simplistically as I could.

He'd lost his voice or?

I just, he wasn't too, wasn't too, too good.

Um, whether he lost his voice, if that's the correct way of putting it, he just, yeah, I don't think it was a hundred percent.

So I think he, he had, uh,

As I say, I went along in a capacity to be there and jump in if need be, and the powers that be said that they needed me to do that, so I jumped in, yeah.

Yeah, it was, I think I kind of parked it a little bit.

I thought, you know, it wasn't until later that I realized, kind of dawned on me a bit, mate, just how big that test was.
