In fact, I looked it up last week, and a buddy of mine sent me this stat.
Since 2015, no player has won the Masters who did not play at least once in the last couple of weeks on the PGA Tour.
And Scottie would fit into that category.
Now, you know, records are meant to be broken, streaks are meant to be broken, but...
It is notable that Scottie is one of the favorites coming in, and he should be, and he's a two-time Masters champion, but he hasn't played in a long time competitively, and that's
usually takes a little while to get you into rhythm.
And he's been getting off to slow starts to begin with.
So we'll have to wait and see.
I think tomorrow's a huge day for Scottie Shepard, a huge day.
Oh, Scottie and Rory for sure.
I want the two best players.
The Rory and Bryson thing, who cares?
That's a clown show.
Nobody cares about that, I don't think.
It hasn't really become this incredible rivalry like everybody thought it would be after the Pioneers thing, and Rory got them last year in the final group, and there's a little bit of angst there, but who cares?
But I'd like to see the two best players who have won here before go after it, man.
I think it'd be so much fun to see kind of a
Phil and Henrik Stenson 2016 Royal Troon Open Championship.
Just two guys separate themselves, two great players, and see how they handle it.
I think that would be a lot of fun.
