Oh, wait, the Leafs aren't any better.
Someone came up to me this morning, I kid you not, and said, I heard that Ovechkin is thinking about coming back.
And I was like, really?
I mean, I love him.
You guys know that.
He's a legend.
He's an all-time D.C.
sports hero.
But let's sidestep it now.
Let's get out of here and start moving on to the next era.
He's basically a DH out there now, all-time great player, and I love him.
But I think it's time to move on.
I don't know.
I think the team would like him to move on as well.
It's time to open up a new era there, but I don't know.
I'm still thinking about the Austin Matthews injury.
I just hate that.
I hate that for Leafs fans.
I hate that for him, especially coming off of that U.S.-Canada momentum, that great game.
