Best players got to be your best players, and then all of a sudden it's like, well, don't blame them.

There's a basic idea of a core, but if things aren't working out, it's going to change dramatically.

But you look at the contributions.

It's like Dorothea, potting goals, Barbashev's a good player.

Hurdle came out of his slumber, and he contributed offense.

Hadn't scored in a long time.

And then you've also got Eichel, who hasn't been lighting it up.

I think he scored his first goal of the playoffs against Colorado or something crazy like that.

But you just need different guys.

I go back to junior hockey, but the Kitchener Rangers, they didn't need their goaltender for a long time in the Memorial Cup.

Yesterday they did, and he bailed them out.

It's like everybody else bought that goaltender time, and it was his time to kind of repay everybody.

He stood his ground and gave them time to get back into the game, and he did it, and then they just spanked him.

Jamie, Lane Hudson, who had a terrific year himself, I believe his comment after was we weren't really close and we know it.

I've had that series before.

You win the first one and then absolutely get crushed, and you're like, we won.
