If he's a Ferrari, he might be a Ferrari with 120,000 kilometers on him.
A lot like a lot of these players now that have 10 years into the league.
But if he can regain the Austin Matthews that we've seen, nothing bad can come out of that.
So there's a little nugget on top of that.
Positivity.
So let me add one little nugget onto that, too.
We should revisit William Nylander's comments yesterday because that's a positive thing.
Regardless, nobody asked him or whatever, but for William Nylander to go on whatever it was, his YouTube channel or whatever, and just say, just so you guys know, I want to be here and I want to win in Toronto.
That's a positive thing that we didn't really shine a light on, other than the fact that it was like, hey, why is Willie talking?
But I think that's a good sign.
So if you're talking about messaging, here's a guy that all the messaging is everywhere else, and Willie comes out, puts his hand up, and says, if you guys are thinking about me, I'm here.
But I think he was on pace to have a very good year.
I don't disagree with anything, but what I'm saying is it's nice if messaging is something that you could add on to, like you said, something out of maybe Austin's wheelhouse.
Five percent of the pie, but yes.
Then that's a positive thing.
You're right.
Willie, it doesn't matter lip service.
We've talked about it.
You don't need the lip service if you don't back it up.
But if the team looks different, if you've got a new, different coach, different deployment, all of that, and you can surround these guys with different types of players and they have good seasons, and you add in that messaging, that's positive.
