Do you feel like it?
How high are you on Dylan Thienemann?
I'll pose it that way.
How high are you on him?
He's three years removed from high school.
And, you know, he's a guy who stepped in, was a Big Ten Freshman of the Year at Purdue.
A team that wasn't great, but a defensive mind in Ryan Walters that really knew what he was doing on that side of the football.
Two years at Purdue and then this one year in Eugene.
Do you see him as a guy, because he's only three years removed from high school, do you see a ceiling that's even beyond where he's at stepping into the NFL?
Schwartz, I did, because you mentioned taking care of your body and getting past 30.
And for me in my 40s now, I just pulled my hamstring the other day running around with my son, so I can relate to the description that you have there, my guy.
But for Thienemann specifically, with that one season in Eugene,
the Tosh Lapoi defense, the Dan Lanning scheme.
But for him to step in in that one year at a program with all those national championship expectations and just look like not only one of the guys, but to look like one of the best players out there every time he was on the field.
After coming from Purdue, what did that say to you about how he'll be able to step into the National Football League just from a maturity perspective?
It started to turn into a conversation around Dylan Thienemann that
He'd go off the board for sure to the Vikings at 18, maybe even earlier.
It almost felt like some folks kind of came late to the party because he ran that 4-3-40 at the Combine.
What do you think it indicates that he was on the board to the Bears at 25?
Is that just good value for a safety who's a really good player?
