to do any job you know than a professional footballer and I think you know when we see doctors nurses and all the other vital services going out to work and continuing on and doing their jobs I think if football's safe to do so and we want jobs afterwards I think we have to as safely as we can get football back moving a lot to do with morale and also to save the industry that
that we all have been very, very fortunate to earn a few quid from.
Well, you mentioned the self-interest there of the owners of Watford.
And we've spoken about this a lot on this show.
But are you not showing self-interest in that you want the league to carry on because of the position Fleetwood are in?
Yeah, probably, yeah.
I think we're all biased, Jay.
I think we all want the thing that suits us.
And that's probably the reason we've got such a standoff in our division because you've got legitimately...
you know, eight or nine teams who think they can get promoted to the championship.
And League One's a tough league.
You know, some big clubs in there, especially when it's the likes of Fleetwood.
And then, you know, for us, there's a lot of sides with not really anything to play for when you think, you know, in the mid-group.
And you can totally understand their reasons for doing that.
And that's the reason, you know, we've got
this weighted or points per game system that we're going to have because there is no fair resolution for everybody.
For me, in terms of Troy Deeney, I'm thinking about me as an 18, 19-year-old kid and obviously you came through as young academy prospects and got into the first team.
If I was a young player at Watford or Brighton or Chelsea and I seen Willian or Aguero or Glenn Murray or Troy saying they didn't want to play because they didn't feel safe,
And I felt I was safe to do so.
I'd want my opportunity in the first team.
