What does competitive balance actually look like?
And yes, MLB, they might be thinking that it's in the form of a cap and floor system.
But the...
thing that they're just going to keep pushing on is that this is what the fans and i've talked to mlb's own fan council which is kind of like a
It acts kind of like a focus group, and they do focus testing.
But I have talked to fan council members that hope that'll be more than just a focus group.
But not all of them are on board with a salary cap.
And they just want, like, the majority of them, bottom line, they want to see their owners spend.
They want to see teams actually trying to spend money.

That's the difficult thing is that the union is just like,
no no cap absolute hard no on any proposal with a cap and that's what led to 94 and it's just very hard to
hard to see mlb pushing back like breaking down on a cap this soon um i don't think it'll be until like march until like we can have a little bit more optimism about where negotiations are going but that's because in march that's when like money starts being on the line with spring training groups

I would say, like,
find another sport in the meantime if you don't already have one there's hockey there's basketball football season's up pick up a hobby just like don't think about it as like the optimistic thing that i could say let let the people like me lose their minds trying to cover all of this
