We had talked about it, and she... From what she would tell me, she enjoyed it too much and stuff.
She didn't want...
Right.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
I'm very nervous, but I do want to because it's going to put a lot of stuff out there by April.
She couldn't be satisfied by one person.
But that, it made us...
I'm doing good, Dave. How are you?
So I'm a 25-year-old veteran, recently divorced, and I'm going to college full-time. And I'm currently in about $27,000 in debt. And I guess I'm calling for a recommendation on, I guess, the best way to get out of this debt and build a better financial future for myself and my daughter.
Yes.
No. So all my income comes from the stipend from school and then my military disability.
Mental health and a few physical issues.
Are you in combat?
Yes, I am, but I do. You have custody of your child? I have 50-50 custody, but I have her throughout the day, and her mom gets her two nights a week and then every other weekend.
Yes. How long before you graduate? I believe like two, two and a half years. Okay.
To break it down, my truck has $11,000 on it. It was paid off, but me and my ex-wife dumbly consolidated all of our loans and used the vehicle as collateral.
No, she took her personal, uh, like debt and her credit cards and her vehicle that had collateral on it. And then I took all my debts and her debts that were on your truck. Uh, no, um, we split it up, uh, I guess, uh, evenly down the middle.
Yeah. I guess I just need to figure out what to do with my daughter mostly. I don't have her two nights a week and every other weekend.
Since the beginning of February. So I'm still kind of like getting back on my feet. Yeah, so you're still trying to breathe. Yeah. Yeah.
So I just recently got the every dollar back and put my budget together. Good. How's it looking? Well, it looks awful. I don't have any income.
Has to be, isn't it? So... Uh, rough, like I have money. It says I have leftover to budget. Um, and I somehow don't have it at the end of the month.
Okay.
Hi, I'm $33,000 in debt, and I've saved up about $3,000, and I just don't know where to go from here.
It's from an auto loan.
Tell us about it. It's a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500. It's going to hit 70,000 miles right now.
I believe it was $26,000 or $25,000. Okay. Let's say $25,000 and be conservative. And you say you owe $33,000 on it?
Yes, no doubt. All right.
What bills do you have? What other bills do you have?
Just a $75 for my internet, I believe.
Now, the car payment is $639, and I paid $300 for the insurance.
Oh, me too. He knows. I 100% agree. It was my grandparents, and they co-signed on it, Jim.
19.
Well, if it is any way possible, I would love to keep the truck.
You got to pay it off.
I would hope like three years or two years.
No, you're right.
I was enjoying it, but... I had like started to learn about like the like financial teams and I was just like, oh gosh, I'm living way out of my means.
Black. Okay. Yeah. It's black on black.
Um, no. Well, I just started actually.
